INTRAS is a non-profit organisation founded in 1994 dedicated to high quality research and intervention in the mental health field. Each year, more than 2.000 people are attended by INTRAS’ professionals, having a team of more than 250 professional staff (psychiatrists, psychologists and professionals from social and educational field carrying out research, training and clinical practice). The main target group of INTRAS consists of people suffering from severe and prolonged mental illness, whereby the organisation also performs activities and offers services to the disabled and people at risk of social exclusion in general. The development of INTRAS’ services and programs is based on the recovery approach, thus empowering the users to live a self-determined and self-confident life through reflecting their potential wishes and providing them with therapy and training programs. INTRAS is also a renowned and experienced organization with years of work in the field of European projects and expertise in developing innovative solutions for the recovery and integration of people at risk of social exclusion, mainly people with mental illness.

KMOP Skopje is a Non-Governmental Organisation established in 2017 and based in North Macedonia, which focuses on the provision of social services through the design and implementation of policy reforms in the social sector and research. It has been registered as a local NGO in North Macedonia and it works autonomously since 2017, with the mandate of capitalising on KMOP’s background and track record for the benefit of the vulnerable groups of the country, including young people at grassroots level from disadvantaged social backgrounds. KMOP Skopje’s goal is to be actively engaged in the social welfare system of North Macedonia and contribute to the relief of various vulnerable groups by trying to design innovative and effective solutions to some of the problems that the country currently faces, making local communities more resilient. Through comprehensive analysis, sustainable project activities and its direct involvement with local communities, KMOP Skopje is continuously making efforts for tackling different problems, which are arising from various systematic policy shortcomings and are affecting individuals from disadvantaged background on a daily basis.

Capitalizing on our long experience in the provision of social services, we analyze, design and recommend policies that promote social welfare, individual well-being and equal opportunities, bringing real change for individuals and communities.

As part of its efforts to design and advocate on policies that generate a social impact, KMOP has been also engaged in various technical assistance projects in many third countries, mainly in Europe (i.e. Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia), Asia (i.e. Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan) and Africa (i.e. Egypt, Namibia, Burkina Faso), providing consulting in social policy issues.
