Piloting & Development of collective stories

by youth with developmental disabilities/ mental health disorders

This resource will be the result of a piloting activity with 20 educators, social workers, and youth workers per partner country, which will provide crucial feedbacks to define the project training material. Moreover, this resource will show a collection of at least 14 stories as results of the involvement of 2 young people per country living with development disabilities and mental health disorders, benefitting of the storytelling methodology as approach to collect their stories.

Development of the training & hosting platform

Developed by project partners

The training program on storytelling and the collected collective stories will be uploaded on a training and hosting platform. The platform will be developed by project partners and it will be available in all partners languages. The platform will represent an important hub for training of professionals working with youth living with development disabilities and mental health disorders and for the same youth because they can listen to others stories and share their owns in a safe online environment.

Recommendations & Guidelines

on using storytelling as a communication and healing process during & after the pandemic

Recommendations papers at national and European level to promote the use of storytelling as a healing and communication process for youth living with development disabilities and mental health disorders. The recommendations will be based on project results and outcomes and they will identify the best practices, methodologies, and activities to promote storytelling with this target group.
